Long Sight

A long sighted eye is too short. The lens focuses the image behind the retina, this makes it easier to see objects that are farther away and more difficult to see objects closer to the eye. The lens in the eye can change shape to focus on objects closer to the eye and this means that it is possible to overcome small amounts of long sight. However this will make the eyes tired if you are doing a lot of close work such as working with a computer or reading. It is possible to correct the eye with a lens to pull the focused image forward onto the retina.
