Andrew Millington qualified 1988. He has spent time both employed and as a locum before joining the partnership and settling in Chepstow. He has also spends time lecturing in the Optometry Department of the University of Wales in Cardiff and has been invited to speak at an RNIB conference in Scotland. His areas of academic interest are paediatrics and patients with special needs. This has lead to the introduction of hearing aid loops and wheelchair access in the practice and inclusion on the special skills register.

Anne has been qualified as an optometrist since 1986 and enjoys all areas of this interesting profession. A former associate lecturer in contact lenses at Cardiff University she specialises in this aspect of the practice, continually keeping up to date with what is a constantly evolving technology. Outside of the practice she has varied interests including Lindy Hop dancing, hill walking, horse riding and running the occasional 10km. However, her main affections are reserved for two Irish Wolfhounds, Jack and Dylis. She can be immediately distracted if you mention them……try it!

Sue is our manager and is responsible for the smooth running of the practice. She is eminently qualified for this role, bringing several years experience in the optical world before joining us in Chepstow. A dedicated athlete throughout her life, she is always on her toes, and makes sure all the staff are as well. Her sporting interest helps in other ways too, as her knowledge of our sports spectacle range testifies. Her interests and talents are wide ranging and she has a good eye for design. This coupled with her honest and friendly nature makes her a perfect person to advise on frame choices.

Ruth is our full time optical assistant. She is a local girl who is the professional and friendly face who greets you. While she works full time she can't even escape her husband when here, as he is the culprit behind our rather fantastic reception desk. Ruth is also committed to helping others having taken part in many cancer research charity runs and has donated over 50 pints of blood since the age of 18. The mother of two grown up children, she keeps fit by often running around the streets of Magor. Whether the two facts are related we are not sure.

Sally is part time optical assistant and has worked for many years in the profession. A mother of two young children she brings the qualities used with them into the practice. Endless patience, a calm and friendly nature and a keen sense of fun. Her real passion though is her mobile phone and can at any time advise on what is the best handset available. Best of all she doesn't charge for this service.
